What is it?

This is a simple guide to the new Programme of Study marksheets in SIMS. The programme of study marksheets form the core of Capita SIMS' new assessment without levels (AWOL) solution. The course will show you how the new marksheets can be used to record formative assessments for the entire national curriculum.

Primary or Secondary School?

From the Spring of 2015 the new marksheets are available for Primary schools. Capita plan to release a KS3 version of these marksheets by the Autumn term. Regardless which type of school you are in, you need to know about the future of SIMS formative assessment.

Prior knowledge

We assume no prior knowledge of SIMS, assessment without levels or of formative assessment. It would be useful if you are familiar with SIMS, but not essential.

Is it a 'hands on?' course?

We've designed the course so that you can enter your own data as the lesson progresses. Or you can just watch.

Learning outcomes

You'll get a clear understanding of what the new marksheets are capable of delivering for your school.

How long will it take?

Not long. This is a short course that takes about 20 minutes.
