Using Colours to Create a RAG (Red-Amber-Green) System

Introduction

In this final example of colours in marksheets we use the NESTED-IF-THEN-ELSE formula to compare a target grade with an actual grade.

  • If the actual grade is higher than the target grade we will colour the actual grade green.
  • If it's the same as the target grade, yellow.
  • If it's less than the target grade we will colour the actual grade red.

Many schools refer to this as a RAG system, short for Red, Amber, Green.
